The Supplements that the Owner Uses 

Being 63 years old and having less than exemplary genes for good health, I use supplements extensively in order to enjoy my way of life as much as possible. But before I detail my supplements, I would like to point out that I eat much in the way that is recommended by cardiologist Dean Ornish, the author of Reversing Heart Disease, and cardiologist Arthur Agatston, the author of  The South Beach Diet.

For example, I consume largely unrefined grains, beans, nuts and seeds as well as fresh vegetables and fruits. I also consume a large serving of steel cut oats with cinnamon at least 6 times per day to reduce my LDL-C and Apo B. I exercise 6 to 7 days a week. Part of that is my 20 mile commute to work by bicycle, and the 20 mile bicycle ride home..

The general health supplements are as follows:

NOW Vit-Min 75 (#3830) one a day multiple without iron taken with dinner            .20

For healthy joints, I take the following:

For cholesterol modification, specifically lowering my LDL-C and Apo-B, I take the following:

500 milligrams niacin four times a day                                                                     .09         

20 milligrams policosanol to increase HDL-C and HDL2b                              .13

Total cost for a customer to use the same program is about $200 per month.
